Should you move after retirement?

Retirement. Feelings of freedom and independence are most often associated with retirement. However, for many it can cause overwhelming feelings of anxiety and unpreparedness. “Where will we live?” or “What can we afford?” are typical questions that can lead to this uneasiness in retirement.

In previous workshops we have discussed the importance of creating a plan now, in order to be financially prepared for retirement. In this workshop we will focus on one of the most difficult decisions to make while living in retirement – when and if to downsize and what options are available to you?

We invite you to join us for our upcoming complimentary workshop we call the “Lunch & Learn” series. Each month we will be introducing new and interesting topics. Invest just 60 minutes and it could save you and your family thousands.

This event took place at the Thornhill Golf & Country Club on Tuesday, July 19th 2016 between 12:00 and 1:00pm.

You will learn:

  • What motivates retirees to move?
  • What options are available?
  • How to decide which option is best for you.
  • Retirement residences vs. Long term care homes.
  • How can my family play a role in my decision making?
