Our team here at TMFG doesn't only consist of the advisors and office staff, it includes our clients.  The relationship we have with all of you is truly a partnership on many levels, from the participation in our many events throughout the year, to the meetings about your portfolios, legacy, insurance or tax planning, to the drop-ins for coffee and cookies. These interactions are what make coming to the office a joy each and every day.

12 months past with TMFG

As 2015 comes to a close, we take the time to reflect on the accomplishments for The McClelland Financial Group of Assante Capital Management Ltd (TMFG).  In order to position ourselves for growth and raise the bar on services for our clients, we need to know where we are coming from.

December:  TMFG is overwhelmed at the generosity of clients; we have collected an incredible amount of cash and toy donations for the 2015 CHUM City Toy Drive

Christmas Wish Toy Drive

For many kids, the holiday season means presents, parties and fun with family and friends. However, the reality is that many kids won't have a Christmas this year. Coming from families with little or no money, these kids are often lucky to receive a hot meal, let alone a brightly-wrapped gift. Toy drives are a great way to support a very worthy cause - bringing smiles to the faces of needy children during a magical time of year.

On December 18th we delivered 93 gifts and $500 to the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish Foundation. This is all do to the support of our clients, because of you many more children will have believe in the season again.

All you have to do is place your unwrapped toy under our tree to put a smile on a little child's face.

Second Harvest

Second Harvest | No Waste. No Hunger

Giving… Doing… Since our founding in 1991, we here at The McClelland Financial Group have been involved in many community initiatives. The McClelland Financial Group's shared values are simple; Giving and Doing.

Giving – Rob McClelland and Mike Connon, both Senior Financial Advisors and partners, believe strongly in community involvement. They not only practice this in their daily life, but do everything they can to teach this generosity to the people around them. Their kids for example, must give one third of their allowance to charity. This act of giving not only dominates their personal life, but their professional world as well. Although they cannot give to every organization that knocks on their door, they do give generously to their community in York Region.

Doing – Second Harvest - The ticket to a few of our Lunch and Learns over the years required a donation of one can of non-perishables or a $10 per person donation to Second Harvest. the total amount we have raised for the year $670 and 480 pounds of food was picked up from our office. As a result of the financial donation, Second Harvest will be able to deliver over 1820 fresh, healthy meals to those in need – that's a pretty fantastic result.

We would like to thank all our clients and guests who made this happen, without all your donations, this wouldn't happen. Hopefully, we can beat this result next year!.
