You died…Now what happens to your assets? A step by step guide.

We invite you to join us for our upcoming complimentary workshop we call the “Lunch & Learn” series. Each month we will be introducing new and interesting topics.

This event took place at the Thornhill Golf & Country Club on Monday, November 17th between 12:00 and 1:00pm.

It doesn’t have to be complicated. Estate planning will be your legacy. It will reflect your wishes and gives purpose to what you’ve accomplished in your life. Without an estate plan, the government will decide how your estate will be divided and what taxes will be taken. In order to avoid this, let’s use strategies and tools in place to ensure your estate is dispersed according to your wishes..

We will cover

  • If something had happened to you yesterday, do you know what would happen to your assets today?
  • You probably think that your Principal Residence is tax-free, but did you know that it can be taxed – twice?
  • Which has more impact on your final taxes; the province you live in or the province you die in?
  • How can you freeze your final taxes at today’s value, regardless of how much your assets increase?

Join us, and ask the questions you want to know.

Jorge Ramos

These are just some of the serious concerns facing Canadians. Mike Connon, Carlo Cansino and Jorge Ramos the newest member to our team, will discuss how these issues affect Canadians and present simple solutions on how to make wiser decisions.

Jorge Ramos started in the life insurance industry 20 years ago as a career agent with London Life. After 10 years as an advisor, Jorge went corporate, by working for the head office of one of Canada’s top insurance companies as their in-house insurance expert.

For over 20 years, Jorge has been sharing with clients and audiences his expert knowledge of estate planning. He is an empowering speaker who has been featured on both radio and television, with successful appearances on 680 News, BNN, CTV and Canada AM to name a few. He will discuss, in easy to understand terms, what you need to do to make your estate plan as thorough as it needs to be.

Take 60 minutes out of your day to learn the strategies and tools to prepare a thorough estate plan, so that you can rest easy knowing your loved ones will be taken care of.

While we understand all topics may not pertain to you, we ask that you forward this invitation to any friends and family you believe may benefit from the workshop.
